headerSPRING 2012

It’s hard to believe that we are already preparing for what has become excitingly known as the “Big Show” in June. This is a critical time of year for all of our students, faculty, dance families, and staff.

Please take the time to review all the information provided in this edition of Long’s Dance Gazette to be aware of important events and announcements. Updates will be provided as more detailed information becomes available.

Let the BIG SHOW begin!

DANCE LEVELS: What color is your level?

We are reintroducing our dance “uniform policy”. We have always offered a graded syllabus for each style of dance. All students are placed in classes according to each dancer’s age and ability.

Dance levels:

Students may wear the color indicated for either their age group or the level associated with the last completed exam. These exams are held periodically throughout the school year.

PreSchool and Kinderdance levels are assigned to either pink, sky blue or violet.  Jr. Levels including combo, hip hop, jazz and acro are assigned to royal blue, turquoise or teal.  Our Sr. classes will wear one of our eight color levels i.e. Level 1 – Raspberry, Level 2 – Purple, etc.  The colors and variety of styles is a trademark MotionWear with the Long’s School of Dance crest on them.

Visit the Performance Supply Store at the Selinger Avenue location to view the large variety of styles to choose from.

Students always have the option of wearing a black leotard in place of the color level.
